Tammi Oyadomari-Chun is the UH Community Colleges’ Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. She is responsible for academic program planning, evaluation and assessment; course and program articulation; regional accreditation; federal higher education and workforce development issues, and collaboration with external agencies.
Tammi has held key positions in Hawai‘i's government and nonprofit sectors including assistant superintendent for the Office of Strategy, Innovation and Performance at the State of Hawai'i Department of Education; vice president for programs at Hawai'i Community Foundation; policy analyst for the Office of the Governor; and executive director for Hawai'i P-20 Partnerships for Education. Previously, she also conducted education and social policy research at the RAND Corporation and the University of Pennsylvania. She earned an educational doctorate from the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education; a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government; and a bachelor’s degree from Pomona College. Tammi is the chair of the Center for Tomorrow’s Leaders and a member of Aloha United Way’s Community Impact Council; she previously served as an inaugural board member of the Data Quality Campaign (D.C) and the ‘Aina Haina Elementary School Community Council.
