Labor Market Information

Team work

Labor market information or LMI is the quantitative analysis related to a region’s employment and workforce. This includes a wide variety of information useful to students, including employment by location, industry and occupation, labor supply and demand, occupational earnings, unemployment and demographics of the labor force. LMI allows individuals to make informed decisions on career planning and preparation, education and training opportunities and job searching.

Providing all students and job seekers meaningful access to LMI continues to be one of the primary goals for our office. Through the new Hawai`i Industry Labor Map, students now have the ability to access up-to-date labor market data allowing them to make informed decisions in crafting their paths to successful careers.
